Pre-Order Policy
At The Anime Throne, many of the figures we offer are pre-order items. This means the figure has been announced by the manufacturer but has not yet been released.
Placing a pre-order allows you to reserve a figure before it sells out and guarantees that a unit from our shipment is allocated to your order.
What is a Pre-Order?
A pre-order is an item that is not currently in stock and will ship once it is released by the manufacturer and arrives at our warehouse.
The estimated release date listed on the product page is provided by the manufacturer or distributor and may change.
Release Dates
Release dates for figures are estimates and are not guaranteed.
Manufacturers frequently delay figures due to:
• Production changes
• Manufacturing delays
• Shipping logistics
• Distributor scheduling
If the manufacturer delays a release, the shipping date of your order will also be delayed.
The Anime Throne does not control manufacturer release schedules but will ship your order as soon as the item arrives.
Payment for Pre-Orders
Pre-orders require payment at checkout to reserve your figure.
Because inventory is allocated based on pre-orders placed with our distributors, pre-orders help us secure the correct quantity for our customers.
Shipping of Pre-Orders
Pre-order items will ship after the product is released and arrives at our warehouse.
If an order contains multiple items, the order will ship once all items are available.
Example:
• If you order one in-stock figure and one pre-order, the order will ship when the pre-order item arrives.
If you would like in-stock items shipped sooner, please contact us and we may be able to split the shipment.
Manufacturer Delays
Delays are common within the figure collecting industry and can range from a few weeks to several months depending on the manufacturer.
We do our best to update product pages and communicate delays whenever possible.
Cancellations
Pre-orders are generally non-cancellable once placed.
This is because we place pre-orders with our distributors based on customer demand.
However, if a manufacturer cancels the figure or we are unable to fulfill the order, a full refund will be issued.
Damaged or Defective Items
If your item arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
Please include:
• Your order number
• Photos of the damage
• Photos of the packaging
We will work with you to resolve the issue.
Why do pre-orders take so long?
Anime figures are typically available for pre-order months before they are manufactured. This allows manufacturers to determine how many figures need to be produced.
Once the pre-order period ends, the figure then goes through the manufacturing, quality control, and international shipping process before reaching distributors and retailers.
Because of this process, it is normal for pre-orders to take several months between the order date and shipping.
Why do release dates change?
Release dates are provided by the manufacturer and are considered estimates.
Delays can happen due to:
• Production adjustments
• Factory delays
• Packaging or quality control issues
• International shipping logistics
Delays are common in the collectible figure industry and can range from a few weeks to several months.
If a release date changes, the shipping time of your order will also change accordingly.
Why hasn’t my order shipped yet?
If your order contains a pre-order item, it will ship once the item is released by the manufacturer and arrives at our warehouse.
Even if the order was placed months earlier, the item cannot ship until it has officially been released and received by us.
Why didn’t my in-stock item ship?
Orders that contain both in-stock items and pre-order items will ship once all items in the order are available.
Example:
• Order placed with 1 in-stock figure + 1 pre-order figure
• The order will ship when the pre-order item arrives
If you would like your in-stock item shipped sooner, please contact us and we may be able to split the shipment.
Will I be notified when my order ships?
Yes! Once your order ships, you will receive an email with your tracking number so you can follow your package.
Why do pre-orders sell out?
Many figures are produced in limited quantities, and retailers only receive a certain number of units from distributors.
Once pre-orders close or distributor inventory sells out, it can become very difficult to obtain the figure again, which is why placing a pre-order is the best way to secure one.
